Ja Morant will not participate in 2020 Chicago NBA All Star Weekend slam dunk contest

The NBA Slam Dunk contest in Chicago this year - the home to Michael Jordan's most epic dunks and still the NBA can't get players to participate. One of the best new leapers in the NBA is Ja Morant. The Memphis Grizzlies standout rookie Ja Morant has now decided not to participate in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in Chicago next month. Saying that maintaining good health for the duration of the season is his main priority, sources said. I mean, give me a break dunking 3 or 4 times on a Saturday night is going to be worse than an 82 game regular season and practice? The NBA needs to spice up the prizes for these players. These young kids come in multi-millionaires so what is the incentive other than them being embarrassed if they lose? Now, if you say $500k to the winner or charity of their choice, they will look like an idiot if they don't compete. The NBA needs to do something ASAP; it's already ridiculously expensive to attend NBA All-Star Weekend for the average fan. Everything about the NBA now is corporate sponsors and celebrities with millions vs. the Average fan.
